Winding down

We rise relatively early and make the trek to the BKU compound where Rose is just opening the clinic.  We fetch little Moses from the staff in the kitchen area and are pleased to see that he appears much more comfortable and alert.  Rose confirms that his temperature is down close to normal, so we spend some time visiting with the kids before meeting with Victoria to discuss progress and challenges with some of the Canadian-sponsored BKU kids.

Victoria then displays the stack of back to school supplies including metal trunks, sandals, , books, etc. purchased with our Kulikayo donations.

Following that we enjoy some quiet time by the pool with friends until  Davis' family all arrive to share a wonderful buffet dinner.  The children all get along superbly, and we top off the night with a showing of "The Queen of Katwe", a Disney movie about a young girl growing up in the Kampala slums.
